Rams\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez Rocha, desarroll\u00f3 un algoritmo denominado \u201cde Rigideces Base\u201d, el cual detecta las zonas da\u00f1adas en una construcci\u00f3n o aquellas que han perdido rigidez en columnas o vigas.<\/span><\/p>\n

El investigador y profesor de la Escuela Superior de Ingenier\u00eda y Arquitectura (ESIA), Unidad Zacatenco, del IPN explic\u00f3 que, mediante la colocaci\u00f3n de aceler\u00f3metros en distintas zonas de la construcci\u00f3n, se obtienen mediciones din\u00e1micas que son procesadas por el algoritmo programado en Matlab y, sin necesidad de inspecci\u00f3n visual, el m\u00e9todo determina los elementos estructurales da\u00f1ados.<\/span><\/p>\n

El doctor en Ingenier\u00eda indic\u00f3 que esta herramienta permitir\u00e1 establecer soluciones de reforzamiento o, en casos extremos, la demolici\u00f3n de la estructura, a fin de no poner en riesgo la vida de las personas, adem\u00e1s de disminuir las p\u00e9rdidas econ\u00f3micas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rams\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez recomend\u00f3 utilizar el algoritmo en edificios con antig\u00fcedad de 15 a\u00f1os en adelante, as\u00ed como en construcciones que hayan sido sometidas a un sismo de alta intensidad o que hayan cambiado de uso.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSi la estructura sufri\u00f3 un sismo, por ejemplo, y se da\u00f1\u00f3, obtenemos una respuesta din\u00e1mica con da\u00f1o y, con base en este algoritmo, se reconstruye un estado inicial sin da\u00f1o; el m\u00e9todo hace la comparaci\u00f3n y determina los elementos de la estructura que est\u00e1n da\u00f1ados y en qu\u00e9 medida han perdido rigidez\u201d, detall\u00f3 Rodr\u00edguez Rocha.<\/span><\/p>\n

La herramienta fue utilizada en un hotel en California, Estados Unidos, donde se cotejaron los resultados del algoritmo con la ubicaci\u00f3n de grietas en ese edificio, y recientemente fue aplicada al edificio de licenciatura de la ESIA Zacatenco.<\/span><\/p>\n
