El anuncio fue hecho por el Ministerio de Cultura de Espa\u00f1a, que destac\u00f3 \u201csu excepcional obra literaria y su labor intelectual con la que ha contribuido de manera profunda y sostenida al enriquecimiento del idioma y de la cultura hisp\u00e1nica\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El premio distingue la trayectoria de un autor cuya voz ha explorado temas como la memoria, la identidad y la p\u00e9rdida con una prosa elegante, l\u00facida y profundamente humana.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oriundo de la capital mexicana en 1948, el escritor es narrador, ensayista, cr\u00edtico literario y director de la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua, instituci\u00f3n que ha presidido desde 2019. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido profesor en la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre sus obras m\u00e1s reconocidas se encuentran las novelas <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amor propio (1992), Y retiemble en sus centros la tierra (1999), Los ap\u00f3statas (2020) y el volumen de memorias Mentideros de la memoria (2022).<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tras conocer la noticia, el autor declar\u00f3 que este premio \u201creafirma la vitalidad de nuestra lengua com\u00fan\u201d y adelant\u00f3 que continuar\u00e1 escribiendo\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La entrega oficial del Premio Cervantes tendr\u00e1 lugar el 23 de abril de 2026 en la Universidad de Alcal\u00e1 de Henares, fecha en que se conmemora la muerte de Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con este reconocimiento, Gonzalo Celorio se suma a la lista de escritores mexicanos distinguidos con el m\u00e1ximo galard\u00f3n de las letras hisp\u00e1nicas, junto a nombres como Octavio Paz, Carlos Fuentes, Sergio Pitol, Jos\u00e9 Emilio Pacheco, Elena Poniatowska y Fernando del Paso.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El escritor mexicano Gonzalo Celorio fue galardonado con el Premio Miguel de Cervantes 2025.
