El documental \u201cWhen You’re Strange\u201d rescata la esencia e historia de la banda The Doors mediante im\u00e1genes reales, algunas in\u00e9ditas, desde su formaci\u00f3n en 1965 hasta el fallecimiento de su vocalista Jim Morrison, en 1971.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dirigido por Tom DiCillo y con la narraci\u00f3n de Johnny Depp, el documental evita dramatizaciones y solo material de archivo: conciertos, ensayos, grabaciones caseras, im\u00e1genes de TV y fragmentos del film experimental de Morrison.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El filme fue presentado por primera vez en el Sundance Film Festival el 17 de enero de 2009, pero debido a cr\u00edticas por la monoton\u00eda de la voz original del director, se volvi\u00f3 a grabar la narraci\u00f3n con Johnny Depp. La versi\u00f3n definitiva se estren\u00f3 en cines el 9 de abril de 2010.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En 2011, \u201cWhen You’re Strange\u201d fue galardonado con un Grammy Award por Mejor Video de Larga Duraci\u00f3n, reconocimiento que reafirma su valor como testimonio hist\u00f3rico de una de las bandas m\u00e1s influyentes del rock.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
